Integrated working: training

In addition to the national guidance and support materials provided by government, frontline staff and management will need training to address the specific requirements of the integrated working processes and tools, such as information sharing, CAF, lead professional and ContactPoint.

Training for integrated working will not just be about training staff on specific new processes, it will be one of the most important vehicles for bringing practitioners together, opening up discussions and facilitating change in practice within a local area. In addition, this training must be complementary, and able to be integrated into, the wider Every Child Matters: Change for Children programme and other initiatives, especially training on the Common Core of Skills and Knowledge.

To support local change programmes, a set of national core training materials have been developed alongside an outline training strategy and plan, which describe the core modules and shows how they can be structured into training programmes for different audiences.
